Uses:

It is used to treat constipation. It may also be used to clean out the intestines before a bowel examination/surgery.

Side Effects:

Stomach/abdominal pain or cramping, nausea, diarrhea, or weakness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

When not to use:

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.
