This medication is used for treatment and prevention of low calcium levels and resulting bone conditions including osteoporosis (weak bones due to low bone density)
Side Effects
Side effects which patients taking this medicine may experience constipation, diarrhea, increase calcium levels in urine, nausea, vomiting or upset stomach may occur. These effects are usually temporary and may disappear as your body adjusts to this medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.
When not to use
Patients who have hypercalciuria, hypophosphatemia, hypercalcemia
